Did I Mention That There Was No Debauchery?

Masque of the Red Death - Bethany Griffin

"Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery make-up . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all..."

The writing was good, but I didn't connect with the characters. Not sure I liked Araby. Disliked the love triangle. Couldn't see why Araby was so quick to betray her father when it was clear Elliot had secrets. There was no debauchery. The descriptions were surface, I wanted more depth to the world, more feeling to everything. Oh and the violet hair, and swirling tattoos kind of irked me too... And did I mention that there was no debauchery?
